1. Photo draws your eye, catches your interest. I think this photo draws the viewer’s eye because you're not quite sure what it is at first, and as you look closer you realize it's a tire.
2. Angle or point of view. The open window of the spoke of the tire makes an interesting point of view, focusing on what’s through it.
3. Makes the viewer think or react emotionally. Because the whole tire is not in view, the viewer is forced to think about what the picture is of.
4. Has a message or pushes barriers. Pushing the focus of the main object away onto something else pushes boundaries.
5. The subject matter is interesting. Although it is just a tire, I feel like the added object of a rope really adds some fun!
6. Tells a story. There could be some story of a tire and a rope? But there were just random objects on my front porch that day.
7. Catches the critical moments when action is at its peak. I'm not sure there is action in this picture.
8. Clear focus of photo. I think the main focus is of the rope which is in focus.
9. Design elements. The rope is framed nicely inside the tire and the tire is kind of off centered with the air pump cutting through the picture.
10. Lighting interesting. Not so much.
11. Technically proficient. The picture looks good to me!
